02
Customer & store data ownership
CLIENT DATA SOVEREIGNTY
The client owns and controls their business data and customer/store data.
D-KODE acts strictly as the technical platform provider and data processor. D-KODE does NOT claim ownership of the client's customers or customer database.
The client's exclusive ownership and legal control applies to all commercial and operational assets, including:
- Products & Inventory: Product titles, descriptions, pricing, SKUs, inventory counts, variations, barcodes, and custom attributes.
- Categories: Catalog categories, collections, taxonomies, tags, and navigational hierarchies.
- Customers & Accounts: Registered end-customer profiles, names, telephone numbers, emails, order notes, and contact histories.
- Orders & Transactions: Customer purchase records, line items, order statuses, totals, and fulfillment histories.
- Customer Addresses: Shipping destinations, billing addresses, delivery instructions, and recipient details.
- Store Settings & Policies: Shipping zones, courier preferences, localized taxes, store announcements, and operational policies.
- Business Content & Media: Store copy, branding assets, banners, product photography, and all uploaded images.
03
Cloud infrastructure: Firebase & ImgBB integration
D-KODE+ is engineered with modern cloud architectures utilizing Google Firebase and ImgBB:
04
Master platform data & intellectual property
D-KODE maintains a central platform management infrastructure to deliver updates and maintain system stability across all stores:
-
Master Platform Telemetry: Aggregated, non-personally identifiable diagnostic telemetry (such as uptime statistics, system latency, error frequencies, and aggregate network loads) are gathered across all stores to safeguard global platform health.
D-KODE+ INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
D-KODE retains ownership of the D-KODE+ platform, architecture, and source code.
While the client retains full ownership of their store data, products, and customer records, D-KODE+ itself (including the software, frontend and backend code, portal architecture, system workflows, APIs, and user interface designs) remains D-KODE intellectual property.
05
Third-party service providers
To power end-to-end commerce functions, your D-KODE+ store may interface with third-party service providers:
-
Payment Processors: Third-party payment gateways (such as PayHere, WebXPay, or direct bank transfer channels) handle payment transactions directly subject to their independent privacy and security policies.
-
SMS Gateways: Telecommunication providers used to transmit automated order confirmations, delivery alerts, or OTP codes.
-
Domain & Infrastructure Providers: Domain registrars and global cloud backbones delivering DNS resolution and SSL security.
06
Data retention, security & client custody
-
Encryption Standards: All data transmitted between clients, end-customers, and D-KODE+ storefronts is encrypted using modern 256-bit SSL/TLS encryption.
-
Access Rules & Isolation: Firestore security rules strictly isolate client databases to prevent unauthorized external access or cross-tenant data leakage.
-
Retention & Deletion: Active subscription records are maintained continuously. In the event of subscription cancellation, D-KODE provides a standard 30-day retention grace period. Because client Firebase and ImgBB accounts are under client control, the client maintains custody of their raw database and image files.
07
Client rights, requests & policy updates
Clients may request data assistance, exports, or account record corrections at any time. D-KODE may update this D-KODE+ Privacy Policy periodically to reflect technological improvements or legal requirements, with updates published on this page.
